The Signature Annual Awards are back!

27th Feb 2018, 9:32am

The Signature Annual Awards are a cornerstone in our work to recognise people who are going above and beyond to improve access for deaf people. For the past nine years, our prestigious awards have been awarded to business leaders, community groups, volunteers, and teachers to name a few.

This year we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Signature Annual Awards. This year, the awards aren’t just about what you’ve achieved so far, but how you are leading, educating and inspiring to create a brighter future for others. If you know a special person who fits the bill, we want to know about them!

Nominations are now open and will close at 5pm on Monday 30th July. Tell us about the people you know who aren’t just doing incredible work every day, but inspiring a brighter future for their community.

Our guests will be invited to a wonderful awards evening at the iconic BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art on the stunning Newcastle Gateshead Quayside on Friday 9th November 2018.

Tenth Signature Annual Awards host announced

21st Aug 2018, 9:31am

Signature is excited to announce that Pip Tomson - awarding winning presenter, reporter & journalist - will present our tenth Signature Annual Awards in Newcastle/Gateshead later this year.

Pip, a former ITV Tyne Tees news anchor and weather presenter, is now a regular face and voice on ITV’s Good Morning Britain. She's interviewed some of the world's biggest stars including George Clooney, Cher, Cate Blanchett and Simon Cowell.

Pip is also a huge dog lover. Her youngest pup Bindi was saved from the dinner plate in South Korea and adopted by Pip last year. Pip now actively campaigns to end the dog meat trade and is doing this year's Great North Run to help Humane Society International close another dog meat farm & save scores of dogs from being killed, cooked & eaten.

We can’t wait to welcome Pip to the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art for our tenth Signature Annual Awards.
